bortkiewicz - piano concerto no 1 - IMO this is up there with rach's own scriabin - yes he is very different, but he has the same heart on sleeve melodic touch, to me liadov's piano works - lots of great stuff arensky - particularly the piano concerto and 1st piano trio scharwenka's 4 piano concert...

I've read good reviews of Rachmaninov concertos by pianist Leif Ove Andsnes. I ended up going a different direction recently picking up two new superb releases of Rachmaninov works. I can apply this pieces in my piano teaching class..

She plays pretty well!! Im a big fan of Alexander Siloti, no wonder Mary Alberta is so good coz,, alexander was the one to teach her learn to play piano..

Alexi is a prodigy. I remember watching his vids when I was in Jr. High...One of the rare gem in centuries.. Most of my piano teachers are also impressed with him..

No one plays Rachmaninoff better than Gilels. He plays these preludes with such force and passion and still maintains his precision and? accuracy. He truly inspires me to take up lessons for piano..
