Piano Recital in Brooklyn NY

Postby mikhailp » Tue Jun 14, 2011 6:10 am

Hello fellow Rachmaniacs! Seeing as how I feel directly an impacted musician by Rachmaninoff, with having taken part in the members' recital in amsterdam at the society's international conference a few years ago as my first performance abroad, i figured that this constitutes as sufficiently relevant to relate as a legacy of SVR - seeing as how I will be performing a piece of his at my upcoming recital this June 26th!

If you shall be in NY, do come listen!

Dear Friends & Acquaintances,

Amidst a Summer Breeze & Weekend Relaxation, listen to and enjoy the Jewish Ukrainian Pianist from Odessa in a program of
virtuosic romantic works of the 19th & 20th centuries. Savor a taste of elegance and passion of the pianistic treasures of music.

Good luck in your recital!

I like the melody on your site - Clair de lune - is one of my favourite...

I wish that You had more Rachmaninoff pieces in your concerts!

I see now You play only:

Prelude in C# Minor Op.5
Polichinelle Op.5
Prelude in d minor Op.23 #3
Prelude in g minor Op.23 #5
Prelude in E Flat Minor Op.23, #9
Etude-Tableau Op.33 No.2 in C Major
Etude-Tableau Op.39 No.1 in c Minor

Try the Elegie! It is very impressive and breath-taking even for the people not very close to classic music. It seems to me it is a Moonlight sonata of Rachmaninoff!

Good luck!

Thank you Marianne! Indeed, I have almost all of Rachmaninoff's piano music at my house, I always try to include him in my programs, perhaps not enough! Thanks for the suggestion, I shall give it though!
