Liturgy of St. John C.

Postby opus23#10 » Fri Apr 06, 2007 6:13 pm

SVR's Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom is spellbinding. I just bought a CD -- The Moscow Chamber Choir, Vladimir Minin conducting. Recorded in Church Slavonic at the Smolensk Cathedral of the Dormition in 1988.
This is from Moscow Studio Archives, licensed from CDK music, copyright 2005 Allegro Corporation, made in USA. The number on this CD is MOS 18732 This work is amazingly beautiful!

We have the same recording. It's a very beautiful work and it is also a pity that it's not performed so often.
