And even not for this very page, because one could find all these photos in more or less big size in the internet, but for the code to put in the field of google. This LIFE is marvelous!!!
I've made it search for Bruno Walter, and here we have the most rare photo I've ever seen :D

I've been told that they are performing the 4th concerto.
7th or 8th of December 1930

Hi Marianne,

You did a great job in researching this - it must be the 4th Concerto, because it is very clearly and definitely identified as being a 1930 photograph of Alfred Eisenstaedt (on the TIME Life site). The only concerto Rachmaninoff performed in Europe during the 1930-31 season, according to Barrie Martyn's book, was the 4th Piano Concerto five times in Holland, Paris and Berlin. This would be the concerto in its second version of 1928, the first one he published - the manuscript version had to wait until 2000 before being published).

I love the 4th Concerto so much - it is my favourite (in all its three evolutionary versions, the scores of which I've studied very intensely). This picture means so much to me, you can't imagine. Thanks for your research on this which I read on forumklassika.ru/
