Musicians and dogs!

Postby Marianne » Thu Mar 05, 2009 8:00 pm

This topic is specially for dear opus 23#10!
As long as I look for the photos of the musicians every day, I meet some pictures where they are with their pets, and I want to share them with you!

First of all SVR

They say that this photo was taken by Pasternak's father, I don't know whether it is true.

Its quite funny - dogs seem to have some sense of music taste after all and I believe that it is a good reference to test whether or not one's music is good.

My professor has a dog, a Ukrainean pit bull or something of the sort and whenever I play bach, he puts his head down , flips over, and rests. But if I start improvising or playing chromatic/more modern music, he seems to become restless and looks around.

There is definitely something to it...

Yes, exactly!!!

I had a parakeet, he liked Chopin's Fantasy Ekspromt most of all, all the other melodies he just didn't notice, but this one - he was singing and so agitated that one could think this is his most favourite melody ever ever ever)))) :D

Woah! I NEVER thought Horowitz had cats. Maybe his wife picked them out?
