Frank Peter Zimmermann - Violin- Rachmaninoff - Prelude in G minor
Frank Peter Zimmermann plays a virtuoso transcription (by Ernst Schliephake) for solo violin of Sergei Rachmaninoff's famous Prelude in G minor op. 23 no. 5. Zimmermann plays a 1711 Stradivarius that previously belonged to Fritz Kreisler, who was a good friend and collegue of Sergei Rachmaninoff.
